2 John 1
(1) The elder, to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth — and not I alone, but also all who have known the truth — (2) because of the truth that remains in us and will be with us for the age. (3) Grace, mercy, peace will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the son of the Father, in truth and love.
(4) I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, just as we received a commandment from the Father. (5) And now I ask you, lady — not as writing a new commandment to you, but which we had from beginning — that we may love one another. (6) And this is the love: that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment — just as you heard from beginning — that you may walk in it.
(7) For many deceivers went out into the world — the ones not confessing Jesus Christ coming in flesh. This one is the deceiver and the Antichrist. (8) Watch yourselves, that you may not lose what we accomplished, but may receive back a full wage. (9) Everyone going ahead and not remaining in the teaching of Christ — God he does not have. The one remaining in the teaching — this one has both the Father and the son. (10) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into a house, and do not say greeting to him. (11) For the one saying greeting to him shares in his evil works.
(12) Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so through paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and to speak mouth to mouth, so that our joy may be fulfilled. (13) The children of your elect sister greet you.
