Jude 1

(1) Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to the called ones, having been loved in God the Father and kept in Jesus Christ: (2) May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.

(3) Beloved ones, making every effort to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you, exhorting you to contend for the faith delivered once for all to the holy ones. (4) For certain men crept in, who were long ago written down beforehand for this judgment — ungodly ones, transferring the grace of our God into sensuality and denying the only Master and our lord Jesus Christ.

(5) But I wish to remind you, although you know all things once for all, that Jesus, having saved a people from the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed the ones who did not believe. (6) And the angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their own dwelling place, he has kept in eternal chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day. (7) Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, having committed sexual immorality in the same way as these and having gone after other flesh, are set before as an example, undergoing the penalty of eternal fire.

(8) Likewise, however, these dreamers defile the flesh, reject lordship, and slander glories. (9) But Michael the archangel, when he was disputing with the devil, arguing about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a judgment of slander, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.” (10) But these slander whatever they do not know; and whatever they understand naturally, like the irrational animals, in these things they are being destroyed.

(11) Woe to them, because they went in the way of Cain, and for pay they poured themselves out in the error of Balaam, and they perished in the rebellion of Korah. (12) These are the reefs in your love feasts, feasting together without fear, shepherding themselves — waterless clouds carried along by winds, late-autumn trees, fruitless, twice dead, uprooted; (13) wild waves of the sea, foaming up their own shames; wandering stars, for whom the darkness of darkness has been kept for the age.

(14) And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied to these, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with His holy myriads, (15) to execute judgment against all, and to convict every soul concerning all their works of ungodliness, which they committed in an ungodly way, and concerning all the harsh things that ungodly sinners spoke against Him.” (16) These are grumblers, fault-finders, going according to their own desires; and their mouth speaks arrogant things, admiring persons for the sake of gain.

(17) But you, beloved ones, remember the words spoken beforehand by the apostles of our lord Jesus Christ, (18) that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, going according to their own ungodly desires.” (19) These are the ones who cause divisions, natural ones, not having the spirit.

(20) But you, beloved ones, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the holy spirit, (21) keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (22) And have mercy on those who doubt; (23) save others, snatching them from the fire; and have mercy on others with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

(24) Now to the one who is able to keep you from stumbling and to place you before His glory blameless with exultation — (25) to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our lord — be glory, majesty, might, and authority, before all the age and now and unto all the ages. Amen.
